Free COVID-19 testing sites in Oregon

Updated 05/17/2022: Some sites that previously offered flu shots are no longer offering them. Only sites with an asterisk* currently offer flu shots.

Previous updates: A site has been added in Hillsboro. The site in Prineville has closed. A site in Newport has been added. The site at Chula Vista in Salem has closed permanently. The hours at La Mixteca Oaxaca in Hillsboro have changed. Flu shots are now available at several marketplace sites* listed on this page. Registration information for many of the sites have changed.

Due to high demand for testing, some sites do require an appointment. Links to book an appointment are included for each site listed in this post. To find additional testing providers near you, use the locator map at Get Vaccinated Oregon.

Do I need to get tested for COVID-19?

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or if you were in close contact with someone with COVID-19, you should get tested as soon as possible, even if you’ve been vaccinated or boosted. Close contact means being within six feet of someone for 15 minutes or more over the course of a day, with or without a face mask.

If you are unvaccinated, don’t have symptoms and are getting tested because you had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, it’s best to test as soon as you learn of your exposure and again five days following your exposure.

If you are vaccinated, don’t have symptoms and are getting tested because you had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, it’s best to test five days following your exposure.

If I’ve received at least my primary vaccine series, should I still get tested? What if I’ve also been boosted?

Vaccinated individuals should get tested if they have symptoms of COVID-19 or were in close contact with someone with COVID-19.

You can get a free COVID-19 test at one of the testing sites listed below. If you are testing to travel, check with the airline and/or place of destination to verify what type of test is needed. You do not need insurance to get tested. Some sites also offer COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters; please see our vaccination site blog post for those details.
